Owlett to Host PA Game Commission Night Sept. 26

September 10, 2019

HARRISBURG – Rep. Clint Owlett (R-Tioga/Bradford/Potter) is hosting a Pennsylvania Game Commission (PGC) Night on Thursday, Sept. 26, for area residents to receive the latest hunting and wildlife management information and meet the area’s newest game warden.

The event will be held from 6-8 p.m. at the Wellsboro Firemen’s Annex on East Avenue in Wellsboro. Doors will open at 5:30 p.m.

“Wellsboro area Game Warden Michael Smith will introduce himself and, along with other regional PGC officials, provide information about the possible deer feeding regulation changes and give a presentation on bear biology,” said Owlett. “This is a family-friendly event that is sure to be both informative and fun for hunters and wildlife enthusiasts.”

The presenters will also answer questions from the audience on any PGC-related issues.

Owlett is encouraging attendees to bring their bear mounts or bear rugs to display during the presentation. The PGC will also attempt to trap a bear and have it present at the event.

Those planning to attend are asked to register in advance by going online to RepOwlett.com, or calling the Wellsboro office at 570-724-1390.
