Owlett Hosts Game Commission Night Sept. 12
WELLSBORO – Rep. Clint Owlett (R-Tioga/Bradford) is inviting area sportsmen and sportswomen to his upcoming Game Commission Night featuring a discussion of the state’s white-tailed deer population and habitat.
The event will be held on Thursday, Sept. 12, from 6-8 p.m. at the Wellsboro Fire Company Annex, 21 East Ave., Wellsboro. Doors open at 5:30 p.m.
The presentation will be led by Pennsylvania Game Commission biologist David Stainbrook, supervisor of the commission’s deer and elk section, as well as forester Chris Wood, who will talk about how people can make their property good for deer.
A question-and-answer session will be held at the end of the presentation.
“Our Game Commission nights have been among the most popular events we have hosted because they are so informative,” Owlett said. “It really is a great event for the entire family, and a great opportunity to mentor young people and grow their interest in the sport of hunting. I encourage you to sign up today!”
Admission is free, but registration is required to attend. To sign up, visit Owlett’s website at
