Committees Support Owlett Bills to Ensure Proper Care of PA Children

HARRISBURG – Today in the state House, two committees approved legislation sponsored by Rep. Clint Owlett (R-Tioga/Bradford/Potter) that would help infants and children impacted by the state’s opioid crisis and ensure parents use private health insurance for their children, if available and financially feasible, before relying on Medical Assistance.

Rural Business Issues to be Focus of Policy Committee Roundtable

WHAT: The House Majority Policy Committee, chaired by Rep. Donna Oberlander (R-Clarion/Armstrong/Forest), will travel to Wellsboro, Tioga County, to host a roundtable discussion with local businesses, education institutions and organizations. Topics to be discussed will include rural broadband access, workforce development, and deregulation and government barriers to small business. This is part of the House Republican Caucus’s #GoodJobs4PA legislative package.

Owlett Says $330,379 Awarded to Fire, EMS Companies in 68th District

House Passes Owlett Bill Requiring Better Care of Veterans’ Graves

HARRISBURG – In an effort to better honor and show respect for all of the state’s fallen veterans, Rep. Clint Owlett (R-Tioga/Bradford/Potter) has co-sponsored legislation with Rep. Timothy O’Neal (R-Washington) that would require better upkeep of the graves of Pennsylvania veterans across all of Pennsylvania. The bill was passed by the House of Representatives today by unanimous vote.

Owlett Takes Oath of Office for 2019-20 Legislative Session
